About the author of Honeybee Democracy

A professor of biology at Cornell University in his native Ithaca, New York, Thomas D. Seeley has spent most of his life studying bees and bee swarm behavior. His other books include The Lives of Bees and Following the Wild Bees. He has studied across the world and was supervised at Harvard by biologist E. O. Wilson.
